PRESS RELEASE

SCRA & Sea to Sky CHBA Teamed Up for their First Annual Golf Tournament in September 

The Sunshine Coast Real Estate Association combined up with the Sea to Sky Canadian Home Builders Association for a fun afternoon of golf to raise awareness of each other’s organizations and contribute to some local charities. 

Not only was a good time held by all but the two groups were also able to raise over $4,000 for the Sunshine Coast Food Bank as well as contribute to a Student Bursary for Trades that Sunshine Coast high school students are able to apply for this school year. 

There is a tremendous need for skilled trades workers in the construction industry on the Sunshine Coast and the Sea to Sky CHBA members are committed to developing and supporting the training of their next generation of those workers. 

If you are, or know a student, that wishes to pursue a career in the Trades, there is an opportunity to apply for a $1,000 scholarship.   

Many thanks to Ross Storey for organizing the event and the great staff of Blue Ocean Golf Course for making it such an excellent event and the Sea to Sky CHBA will be back for an 18 hole event same time next year.
